OUSD looking for registrations for 6th annual girl tech conference

Oceanside Unified School District and Mira Costa College are hosting their 6th annual Girl Tech Conference and Expo on Sat., Nov. 2. The Girl Tech Conference is a free event designed to inspire and empower young girls to pursue Science, Technology, Engineering & Math in their educational and/or career paths. All students in grades 5-8 and parents/guardians are invited to attend.

All participants will be transported from OUSD school sites to Mira Costa College for opening ceremonies, featuring Jodi Kodesh, former meteorologist with NBC 7. Student and parent workshops will follow, including a presentation by cybersecurity expert Jon Moffat. SDG&E has generously donated funds to provide all participants with a catered lunch.
